TIFF 2009 Day 2

Leger Problem
Short film about a guy that has a bit too much lightness in his step. Strong story, good special effects, 9/10.

The Wild Hunt
Dramedy about a man trying to retrieve his girlfriend from a D&D camp. Interesting premise, but there was really only one joke in the film. Not a bad movie, but I did not enjoy it because I could not relate to the characters. 4/10, but D&D players will enjoy this more.

Bright Star
Hmm, period piece story of the romance of a tragic poet with an English accent. Something tells me this film is only for the testosterone challenged. Acting was good, but the plot was way too light and was tortuous to sit through. From a female perspective, J liked it and thought it was better than Pride and Prejudice. Remind me to never see Pride and Prejudice. 2/10.

Daybreakers
The year is 2019, and 95% of the population has contracted a disease that has turned them into vampires. The unfortunate 5% are being farmed for blood, and the supply is quickly running out. Wow, a vampire story with a fresh premise. Well done, and heavy on the cheese (but could have been heavier). 8/10.
